•  John Ducker - Managing Director 

    John enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown up sons whilst living in West Oxfordshire. He is a keen golfer and can often be found mixing business and pleasure on the golf courses of Oxfordshire, Spain and other countries.

    John is the original founder of Ducker & Young Scaffolding Ltd, co-owner and managing director of the business. John has a wealth of scaffolding experience and knowledge from having over 35 years experience within our industry.

    John enjoys the responsibility of the day to day financial running of the business along with quoting the sometimes smaller 'Town Work' enquiries from our extensive client base. He often enjoys getting involved with the more technical projects at tender stage and throughout operational delivery. Maintaining strong working relationships with our client base, John is well known for his strong character within our industry.




  • Steve Young - Estimating Director

    Steve is a family man living with his wife and family in West Oxfordshire.

    Steve is a co-founder, owner and director of Ducker & Young Scaffolding Ltd, having always specialised on the estimating and surveying side of the business. He continues to be responsible for tender enquiries from initial contact through to operational handover, ensuring that no matter what the size of the enquiry, that the same stringent high standards and attention to detail are maintained throughout the tender process.

    Steve mostly concentrates on the larger tender enquires now with our continued growth and client base ever expanding. Using the 'Smart Scaffolder' Estimation Package, Steve strives on making sure he is consistent with his pricing and continues to offer our clients cost certainty and cost efficiency wherever possible when tendering for projects.


  • Jonathan Greer BA (Hons) - Contracts Director

    Jonathan is a family man living and working in Witney. He has a wife and two young sons and enjoys being outdoors and is a Scout Leader in his spare time.

    Jonathan has been involved with scaffolding in his family from since he was a child, with his family owning one of the largest scaffolding companies in Medway, Kent for many years.

    After completing a BA Honours Degree at Loughborough University in Industrial Design and Technology with Education, he started his own business in Kent with his mother that grew into a reliable and safety driven business; that was purchased from them in 2004. Jonathan then went on to work for SGB Harsco running their Bristol Branch for Contract Scaffolding and Hire & Sales before becoming Sales Manager for the South East responsible for branches in Bristol, Cardiff, Ipswich, Plymouth and London.

    During the recession, Jonathan worked running sales teams in different areas of the construction industry including temporary site set-ups and also in ground support systems before taking a share in the business as an owner and Director of Ducker & Young Scaffolding Ltd in 2012.

    Jonathan is responsible for the daily operations of the business including all Health & Safety, operatives, transport, materials, IT and contracts that the business undertakes.

  • Nick Paphiti - Operations & Sales

    Nick joined Ducker & Young Scaffolding Ltd in 2016 to assist in both Sales and Operations due to the continued growth and success of the business.

    Nick's background has previously been in Scaffolding, both in the UK and abroad in Australia and many other countries where he has sold scaffolding materials and managed a contract scaffolding company.

    Nick brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to the business and has become increasingly involved with site surveying for the company, often establishing strong and long-standing relationships with surveyors and site teams.



  • Sara Slatter - Administrator

    Sara is a family woman, living with her husband in the Witney area and has grown up children and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and dogs.

    Sara joined the business in 2015 and has become a strong and reliable team member. Sara has always been involved with contracting within the construction industry throughout her career and brings this past experience and strengths with her. With a strong background in accounting and cost analysis, Sara always has her finger on the button relating to our current contracts and assists with the financial control of the business, pay-roll and other general administration.
